SUPERBETTA
Elisabetta Lampiasi lives in Pistoia and has created a clothing line called Superbetta. She defines herself as a slow fashion designer and creates high-quality garments with the wearer in mind, making them functional and versatile through design details, tailoring techniques, and “forgotten fabrics”—leftover materials from past seasons or unsold stock from textile factories and clothing producers. These are high-quality materials that would otherwise be wasted, ending up in landfills or incinerated. The artisan searches through the high shelves of warehouses, falls in love with the fabrics, tests their texture, feels their history, and then imagines them worn by someone who will one day want to say “ne su’ cenci” (in her rags).
