Diamantina Palacios uses textiles as a way to inhabit the world; she defines herself as a Textile Designer. After a long experience in textile restoration and design, she decided to create her own brand, Diamantina Palacios. She produces only unique pieces, and each one tells a story.

Her creativity stems from careful observation of nature and its inhabitants, from visions encountered during her travels, from ongoing research, and from experimenting with various techniques and languages such as weaving, felting, resist printing, and embroidery.

Her textile creations for fashion and interior design are made with natural fibers and dyes, using essential weaves and sometimes more complex structures. The materials include short supply chain silk yarns, and local wools from sheep, alpaca, and cashmere—all sourced in Tuscany. She also works with plant-based fibers like linen, cotton, and hemp. To create volume and make the pieces modular, she uses copper wire, which she employs to craft a small collection of contemporary textile jewelry.

She has been studying color since the beginning of her journey into textiles, and today she dyes with plants, prints, and manipulates color as a primary vehicle for emotion.

The pieces she designs and constructs are handmade with the intention of giving each one uniqueness, character, and irreverence. She believes in added value and aims to raise awareness about respecting nature by celebrating its beauty. She tries to narrate what surrounds her: the environment, textures, shapes, and colors, which she translates into music—creating a sensory experience between the viewer and her creations that goes beyond the visual.

Her mission is: “To bring dreams out of the drawer and see my ideas worn by people.”
