Terra Textile Jewelry Bracelet – Diamantina Palacios
€110.00
The textile bracelet adapts to different arm types and, why not, even to climate changes.
Its construction allows it to be lengthened or shortened, offering the wearer a chance to perceive its unique and transformable weave.
Copper, one of its core materials, is the best electrical conductor; when worn, it seems to promote inner well-being by receiving and regulating the electrical currents within our body’s cells.
Diamantina Palacios uses textiles as a way of being in the world; she defines herself as a Textile Designer.
After a long experience in textile restoration and design, she decided to create her own brand, Diamantina Palacios. She produces only one-of-a-kind pieces, and each creation tells a story.
Her creativity stems from close observation of nature and its creatures, from visions during her travels, from continuous research, and from experimenting with different languages and techniques such as weaving, felting, resist printing, and embroidery.
Her textile creations for fashion and interior decor are made with natural fibers and dyes, featuring essential weaves and, at times, more complex structures. The materials she uses include short-chain silk yarns, and local Tuscan wools from sheep, alpacas, and cashmere goats. She also works with vegetable fibers such as linen, cotton, and hemp.
To create volume and modular forms, she incorporates copper thread, which she also uses to craft a small collection of contemporary textile jewelry.
Color has been a central focus of her textile research from the beginning. Today, she dyes with plants, prints, and manipulates color as a primary vehicle for emotion.
Every piece she designs and makes is handcrafted, with the aim of giving each one uniqueness, character, and a touch of boldness. She believes in the added value of handmaking and seeks to raise awareness about respecting nature by celebrating its beauty.
She tries to tell the story of her surroundings: the environment, textures, shapes, and colors that translate into music—creating a sensory experience between the piece and the viewer that goes beyond the visual.
Her mission is: “To bring dreams out of the drawer and see my ideas worn by people.”
